to renew your books, or just to find out what hours we’re open! Remember, you can return ANY
materials you’ve checked out from the library in our drop box located in
front of the library. When we are open, come in and browse the shelves for books, DVDs, CDs,
videos, and magazines, or use our high-speed internet.
Want to really show
support of our library? FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY
is an organization comprised of
dedicated volunteers who assist the library in raising
funds for programs, as well as
fulfilling other needs. The annual meeting and election of officers will be on
Tuesday, September 6, 1:00 at the library. Libraries serve a vital function in
your community…support them by becoming a FRIEND OF THE LIBRARY.
September 24 – October 1 is Banned
Book Week. The freedom to read is essential to democracy. Come by the
library and see our display regarding banned and challenged books…you may be
surprised that it’s still happening.
Celebrate International
Square Dancing Month and Self Improvement Month by coming to the
Town Hall on Friday, September 23 at 7:30. Caller Dick Kurtz will return
to help us pretend to square dance and have a fun night laughing at ourselves
since we don’t!
August book rotation was
mysteries. September’s rotation will be large print fiction. We probably have lots of
books you may not have read! Let us entertain you!

Programs
Book Club will resume meeting September
27. Jodi Picoult’s My Sister’s Keeper
is now available for checkout
in regular print, large print, and audio. Book discussion is held at the
library on the fourth Tuesday of the month at 1:00.
Second Saturday and Story
Hours will resume in October. Second Saturday programming will be exciting…school age kids need to be at the library
at 11:00 for scheduled programs. Story Hours are for pre-school kids and start
at 10:00 on Tuesdays!
Crochet Club, for novices as well as
experienced crocheters, meets Mondays at 5:00.
Virginia Gill teaches class, and supplies are provided if you need them.
