“The Grand Illumination”, or lighting of the holiday lights at the circle, will take

place on Saturday, December 8 at 7:00. Many thanks to Parks and Rec for

hosting this festive occasion!

When was the last time you went Caroling? Come to the circle Saturday, December 15, at 7:00. We will walk around town caroling, and then have refreshments

at Town Hall. You’ll never forget Jan’s hot apple cider, and hot chocolate

with whipped cream, because they always make the holidays better!

*StoryTime, for 3 and 4 year olds, will continue Tuesdays at 9:30AM on

December 3, 10, and 18. We read books, listen to music, learn

American Sign Language, and kids receive a treat and activity pages.

*The Town of Claremont continues to sponsor US Navy Riverine Squadron 3. A list

of suggested items to donate is on the back of this newsletter. We are collecting these patriotic contributions at the library. Donations are also accepted for the families, especially for families who have newborns.

*Needlework Club will meet Monday the 3^rd and Monday the 10th at 5:00. It’s a chance to learn, share, teach, or enjoy the company of other crafters!

*A copy of the Feasibility Study of Library Space and Facility Needs conducted by Tymoff & Moss is available at the library. They will present their recommendations to the Surry Board of Supervisors on Thursday December 6. Please plan to attend.

*Book Club is offering a selection of cookbooks and craft books for the holidays. Choose from a large selection of holiday treasuries to make this season special! Please bring the taste treat you’ve prepared on Monday, December 17, at 5:00.

*All Blackwater Regional Libraries will be closed for the holidays on

Monday December 24, Tuesday December 25, and Wednesday December 26.

We will also be closed on Monday December 31, as well as Tuesday January 1.
